This Is Us actress Alexandra Breckenridge looked radiant as she walked the red carpet at last night’s Screen Actor’s Guild Awards in Los Angeles. She also looked surprisingly well-rested, considering the fact that she has a newborn baby in the house.

The 35-year-old insists that she is in fact just as tired as most new moms, saying that her fresh-faced look is thanks to “a large team of people.”

“I’m doing pretty good. I’m exhausted, I just had a baby six weeks ago,” Alexandra, who has 15-month-old son Jack and baby girl Billie, said on the red carpet. “I’m feeling good during the day but I’m also exhausted, my baby keeps me up until about 4 in the morning…. It takes a large team of people to put me together this well, because I definitely don’t look like this when I wake up.”

When I was six weeks postpartum, the thought of getting into an evening gown and posing for photos would have been my idea of a nightmare. I’ll stick with my spit-crusted PJs, thanks. Alexandra, however, pulled off her stunning Antonio Grimaldi dress pretty flawlessly.

“I can’t take credit for any of this,” she insisted, referring to her slim post-baby figure. “It’s totally genetic.”

She looks beautiful. I didn’t seem to have genetics on my side when it came time to lose the baby weight. I guess it just goes to show how different every mother, and every body, really is. (Quick question: If my daughter is now in second grade, can I still call the leftover pounds baby weight? I’m going with it.)

One thing that unites us all, though? Bawling during every single episode of This Is Us.

When asked if she cries when she watches, even Alexandra admitted, “Oh yes!… It’s impossible not to.”

Alexandra and her cast mates took home the Screen Actors Guild Award for outstanding performance by an ensemble in a drama series, beating out tough contenders like The Crown, Game of Thrones, Stranger Things and The Handmaid’s Tale. The new mom celebrated at home with her baby Billie – check out the adorable photo she posted on Instagram of her post-SAGS party. Here’s hoping she got at least a little bit of shut-eye, too!
