Simone Jameson’s trademark is her easygoing temperament: “They had to wake me up on the morning of my wedding because I was sleeping in.” The reason for her laid-back vibe? “Nothing matters. I get to marry Tommy.” She and Tommy Henderson, who met through friends, chose Seaside for their nuptials on March 11, 2018. “Our guests could ride a bike to our wedding or walk home,” Simone says. She left the details to Sweet Pea Events’ Meaghan Cody and her mother, Anne (a planner herself). But Simone personally chose the band, Atlanta’s Surround Sound, who kept guests dancing till dawn. “I did not want my wedding to end,” she recalls.
Designer Files
Simone, who was born in Romania, paid homage to her homeland through her gown. She contacted her favorite Romanian designer Maria Lucia Hohan and asked her to customize a collared wedding dress.
Oh Fudge!
The couple gave a nod to their hometown of Fort Worth through table favors. Placing pieces of Fort Worth Fudge on each plate, the treats were packaged and sealed with the couple’s wedding logo.
Le Vie en Blanc
In an attempt to avoid “matchy-matchy” decor, Simone went for a monotone, all-white concept. She first decided on white bridesmaids’ dresses, then based the rest of the decor off the color choice.
The Perfect Slice
“We thumbed through the pictures [of wedding cakes] and took parts from one and parts from another and formed it into what we wanted [ours] to be,” Simone says.
