In addition to standing for you at your wedding, your maid of honor will have a lot of responsibilities, which often includes throwing your showers, helping with the wedding planning and much more. Make sure the girl you choose can handle the responsibility and wants to.
If All Else Fails
If you absolutely cannot pick a maid of honor, then you can go a non-traditional route and not pick one. Simply ask all of your closest girlfriends to be bridesmaids. This keeps anyone from getting their feelings hurt and can make it easier on you.
