After I had my son, I passed along my maternity jeans to a friend.

When her baby was born, she passed the jeans along to another friend, who then gave them to another. Somehow, this magical Target denim has accommodated us all — and our assets — even though one of us is taller, one is shorter, one is a lean athlete, and one of us has more junk in the trunk (okay, me).

We called it The Sisterhood of the Traveling Maternity Pants, a joking reference to the young adult series and 2005 film, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. In the story, four friends share a pair of jeans that somehow fits them all perfectly, despite their different measurements.

But now the sisterhood of the traveling maternity pants is real!

Recently the castmates of The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants (and real-life besties) Alexis Bledel, Amber Tamblyn, America Ferrera, and Blake Lively, got together to celebrate Ferrera’s pregnancy.

“We’ve been a part of each other’s lives in really meaningful ways that go beyond making a movie together,” Ferrera told Entertainment Weekly in 2013 during a reunion photo shoot and interview. “We almost forget that we made a movie together because our friendship was created from so many other experiences.”

*sniff*

On Tuesday Tamblyn shared the sweet photo of the foursome on Twitter. Then Ferrera shared the same photo on Instagram with the caption: “Starting the New Year off with blessings from my Sisterhood.”

And just like that, my heart melted. Hollywood, turn this into a movie STAT.

Ferrera announced her pregnancy on Dec. 31 via Twitter, with this adorable photo of herself and husband Ryan Piers Williams.

What a way to kick off the new year!

Did you celebrate pregnancy with your sisterhood?
